What is like moderating a sex party with your coworkers? Well, thanks to my employer I don’t have to imagine that scenario any longer.
This Friday we hosted a virtual sex party. We’ve had sex events before, including an in-person party last year, but since most of the action was happening in a dark room/dark corners and we were scattered around the venue taking care of our own stuff, it wasn’t as “in-your-face” as this one. This time, we had a handful of guys jerking off (mostly) on video right in front of us, while we’re chatting to each other on a separate call about the logistics and how things were going.
This is the paragraph where I’d start to list all the crazy things that happened and how outrageous it all is, but no, unfortunately, it’s a rather pedestrian experience. Even as work got lighter and instead of worrying about settings and backend stuff we started focusing on what’s happening in front of us, it all stayed very … professional? Friendly, sure. There’s only so many ways you can say “Look at page 3. This person is about to cum” or “ooooh, look at this guy here, he’s hot” in a professional way, but (at least from my experience) it did feel that way. Not that I expected otherwise, after being in the company for 4 years and having gone as far as attending a porn movie shooting, I guess it still amazes me how “normal” can have a broad definition depending on what context you find yourself into.
Noteworthy:
- It’s very interesting finding out what people enjoy. There were people who would just turn on the camera and go do other things naked like: take a shower, lie in bed using their phone, or even just have their dinner.
- Special mention also to our very own Steven Spielberg. Buddy had his camera pointing to a toy dinosaur head for a lot of the time, and then started bringing in other toys like a red foam chick that the dinosaur was eating for a moment or a gingerbread person that we couldn’t quite understand what was the storyline.
P.S. On a different scale, the same feeling can be seen on the documentary “Circus of Books” on Netflix. It’s a good documentary to watch, for those who haven’t seen it.
